Autopay automatically allocates funds from your Kindo wallet to your school's payment requests — so you don't have to log in and do it yourself each time. Setting it up takes just a few minutes, and you can pause or adjust it at any time.
Before You Start
Autopay works best for families who have a regular automatic bank transfer set up into their Kindo wallet. Once funds arrive, Autopay handles the allocation for you.
- Autopay covers payment requests assigned to your child by your school — these can be compulsory (required to pay) or voluntary (optional to pay)
- It does not cover optional items you choose from the shop yourself, like a uniform or fundraising item
- Payment requests with permission or consent forms attached cannot be processed by Autopay — these will show as skipped in your notification email and will need to be paid manually.
Instructions
1. Open the Kindo app or
log in to your Kindo account.
2. Go to myKindo Wallet and select Set up Autopay.
3. On the Meet Autopay screen, select Next.
4. Enter your payment share for each student. Most caregivers can leave this at 100%. If you share a student's school costs with someone in another household, set this to your portion only.
If your school has set up auto-split payment requests between households, set your share to 100% — this covers your portion as your school has already calculated it.
5. Select which payment request types you'd like Autopay to include:
All payment request types — compulsory and voluntaryCompulsory onlyVoluntary only
6. If you'd like to keep a set amount in your wallet untouched, enter this in the Wallet reserve field.
7. Tick I understand and agree and select Start Autopay.
Adjust your settings at any time through the Autopay button in your myKindo Wallet.
Once an Autopay payment has been processed, it cannot be reversed. Contact your school if you have any questions about a payment.
