How to set-up an automatic payment

Making regular payments into your Kindo account means you will always have funds available when you need them. This can make checkout faster and means you're covered for larger costs like school camps — without having to remember to top up each time.

You can set this up as a recurring payment (weekly or fortnightly works well for most families) or as a one-off transfer. Either way, the steps are the same.

Find your customer number

Before you start, you'll need your customer number. This is what tells us the payment is yours.
  1. In the app, tap Account.
  2. Tap My details.
  3. Find your Customer number under Personal information and make a note of it. You'll enter this as the reference when you set up the payment in your banking app.


On the website, you'll find Account in the menu on the left, then follow the same steps. 

Set up the payment in your banking app

1. Log into your banking app and start a new automatic payment.
2. Search for Kindo in your bank's payee list and select it. Most New Zealand banks have Kindo listed as a registered payee.
3. If your bank doesn't list Kindo, enter these details manually:
  1. Payee name: The Growth Collective Limited (this is Kindo's legal company name)
  2. Account number: 02-1257-0090149-000
4. Enter your customer number in the reference field, exactly as shown on your My details page.
5. Choose the amount and how often you'd like to pay, then confirm.

Warning
Your customer number must be entered exactly as shown. If the reference is missing or incorrect, we can't match the payment to your account and it will be returned.
Your payment will appear in your Kindo Wallet within 1–3 working days. You'll receive a Kindo top-up receipt by email confirming the funds have been added.
