Can I close my account?

Can I close myKindo account?

Yes, but first check if the school your student is moving to has Kindo, you may be able to keep your myKindo account open for use at your new school. 

 

When can I close my account? 

You may close your account at any time.  

Accounts closed during the school year, will be processed within two weeks. 

End of year account closures will be processed during January and February of the following year. 

A confirmation email will be sent to you once the account has been closed. 

 

What happens to my account balance when I close my account?
You can choose to have your remaining funds either transferred to your nominated bank account OR you may choose to donate the balance to your school (see below).  


Is there a cost to close my account? 

Yes there is a small $5 administration fee which will be deducted from your account balance. 


How do I close my account? 

To help us process your request quickly we ask that you send us an email with the following information using the email address that you use to log into your myKindo account.


This helps us verify your identity and ensures a faster transaction process.

Subject: Close my account  

 In the email message please include the following: 

  • your name 

  • current account balance 

  • the bank account you would like the money refunded into OR if you would like the balance donated to your school.
